Now we’re rolling!
Front and rear subframes are in! We had to put the steering rack in first…..a new 2.5 turns quick rack, rather than the standard 3 turns.
With all the new bushings, the rear sub-frame was really tight fit so a few scrapes to touch up. There's the front and rear anti roll bars to add as an upgrade to the original design to improve under steer.
The front was more of a pig to fit. The passenger side rear 'leg' was slightly out (pot holes over the years most likely) which meant the frame wouldn't meet the mounts correctly. Some careful 'shaping' and multiple trial fits and we're all buttoned up.
We forgot to put in the brake and fuel hard lines before the sub frames but we've managed to feed them through with a bit of extra effort.
