Custom needle - Carb tuning

With all the work to the block, head, exhaust, cam and air filter the fueling was always going to be wrong.  We’ve done all we can ourselves but there’s flat spots in the acceleration and always running lean other than at idle (no surprise). Compensating with timing has helped but will only melt a piston in the long run! The answer is Mr Adrian Dodd! Not only working through various needles to find the optimal factory one but then tuning it (sanding and polishing with emery paper) to match the engine demand through the rev range; from 1k all the way through to 5k and 6k rpm! 😁 The result is night and day in comparison to before and timing is back to normal levels, 11 degrees advance.  The good news is that our carb rebuild was good with no issues and the dizzy too….no new springs, weights or curve alterations needed either…..so very pleased with our work too. 👍
